FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION

In-house fashion design experience, repeat and placement print development, colourways, garment application and production-ready artwork.

Fosca Dalmatica brings together art, surface pattern design and product development through a distinctive visual language shaped by the Mediterranean.

Founded by artist and designer Klara Ivanović, the studio transforms original watercolours, hand-drawn motifs and painted textures into patterns and illustrations created for contemporary products and spaces.

The work is recognised for its expressive botanical forms, considered colour palettes and tactile artistic quality. Rather than following short-lived visual trends, Fosca Dalmatica develops artwork with the potential to give products a lasting and recognisable identity.

Alongside licensing and commissioned design, the studio develops its own limited-edition silk scarves, resort pieces and original artworks. These collections demonstrate how a visual idea can move from paper to pattern and from pattern to a finished product.

FROM ARTWORK TO PRODUCT

Fosca Dalmatica Silk Collection

The Fosca Dalmatica Silk Collection demonstrates how original artwork can be developed into a finished textile product.

Each design began as an original watercolour illustration created by Klara Ivanović. The artwork was then refined, composed and technically prepared for textile printing while preserving the expressive character of the original brushwork.

Designed in Croatia and produced by a specialist textile manufacturer in Como, Italy, the scarves are made from 100% 12-momme silk twill in a classic 90 × 90 cm format.

Created in limited quantities, the collection brings together artistic authorship, surface design, technical preparation and real-world product development.

Original art, translated into silk.

Created for women who value original design, refined materials and objects with a meaningful connection to the artist who made them.

Each scarf can be worn as a personal expression of style or chosen as a distinctive gift designed to be worn, kept and remembered.

PATTERNS IN APPLICATION

Fosca Dalmatica Resort Collection

The Resort Collection explores how original Fosca Dalmatica patterns can extend across different products, materials and scales.

Mediterranean-inspired illustrations are developed into a connected collection of lightweight scarves, pareos and made-to-order garments. Rather than treating each piece as an isolated product, the collection uses colour, motif and composition to create a consistent visual story.

The Resort Collection demonstrates how a distinctive pattern can support a broader product family while retaining its original artistic identity.

One visual language. Multiple product possibilities.

Developed for relaxed summer dressing and life by the sea, the collection brings original artwork into scarves, pareos and garments designed to be worn individually or combined as a complete visual story.

ORIGINAL ART

Where new visual directions begin

Original painting is an essential part of the Fosca Dalmatica creative process.

Through colour, texture and material experimentation, Klara Ivanović develops new visual directions that may later evolve into patterns, illustrations and product collections.

The original artworks also exist as independent pieces created for private collectors, contemporary interiors and selected commissioned projects.

Cracks collection

The Cracks collection draws inspiration from weathered Mediterranean stone, natural erosion and the marks left by time.

Layered surfaces, restrained colour palettes and metallic details transform these traces into tactile abstract compositions that bring depth, calm and material character to a space.

THE ARTIST BEHIND THE STUDIO

Meet Klara Ivanović

Fosca Dalmatica, Klara Ivanović, surface pattern design, dizajn tekstila, artist, botanical illustrator,

Klara Ivanović is a Croatian artist and surface pattern designer working across illustration, textiles and original art.

Her creative practice is rooted in the Mediterranean landscape and its visual details — botanical forms, weathered stone, changing light, coastal colours and the emotional connection between people, objects and place.

Working from her studio in Biograd na Moru, Croatia, Klara combines traditional painting and drawing with digital pattern development. Her process preserves the expressive qualities of the original artwork while preparing each design for contemporary products and commercial application.

Through Fosca Dalmatica, she collaborates with brands seeking original patterns, illustrations and an individual creative approach. She also develops her own limited-edition products and original art collections as a continuing exploration of how artwork can live beyond the page.
