ARTWORK FOR YOUR NEXT COLLECTION

Choose existing artwork or develop something entirely new

Fosca Dalmatica offers original patterns and illustrations through clearly defined licensing agreements and selected custom design collaborations.

Existing artwork provides brands with access to a developed visual concept that can be licensed for an agreed use. Custom commissions are created in response to a specific product, customer, market and creative direction.

Depending on the project, artwork may be adapted in colour, scale or composition while preserving the character of the original design.

COMMISSION A CUSTOM DESIGN

Commission an original pattern, illustration or connected collection developed specifically for your brand.

The creative direction is shaped around your product, visual identity, target customer, production requirements and intended market.

EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS

When a project requires a unique visual solution, exclusive licensing terms or an agreed transfer of rights may be considered.

The level of exclusivity, permitted usage and ownership terms are defined in writing before the project begins.

Not sure which option is right for your project? Share your intended product and market, and I will recommend the most suitable collaboration model.

LICENSE EXISTING ARTWORK

Select a pattern or illustration from the Fosca Dalmatica portfolio and license it for an agreed product category, territory, duration and production scope.

This option is suitable for brands looking for original artwork that has already been creatively developed and can be adapted for a specific application where required.

USAGE RIGHTS & OWNERSHIP

Every project is defined around its intended use, level of exclusivity and ownership model.

Licensing fees and usage terms are determined individually because the commercial value of artwork depends on how and where it will be used.

A licensing proposal may consider:

• product category
• territory and markets
• duration of use
• production or sales volume
• number of designs and colourways
• exclusive or non-exclusive use
• required artwork adaptations
• promotional and marketing usage

Under a licensing agreement, copyright remains with Klara Ivanović, and the client receives the usage rights defined in the signed agreement.

Where an exclusive artwork purchase or copyright assignment is agreed, the transferred rights, limitations, and ownership terms are defined separately in writing and become effective following full payment.

PROVEN THROUGH PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

From original artwork to a finished textile collection

Fosca Dalmatica’s own silk and resort collections demonstrate the studio’s understanding of how artwork behaves beyond the screen.

Original watercolour illustrations have been developed into scarf compositions, textile patterns and connected product collections. The limited-edition silk scarves were designed in Croatia and produced by a specialist textile manufacturer in Como, Italy, on 100% 12-momme silk twill.

This first-hand product experience supports a practical approach to scale, composition, colour and the relationship between artwork, material and finished form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is art licensing?

Art licensing allows a company to use an artist’s work for clearly defined commercial purposes while the artist retains copyright. The agreement specifies where, how and for how long the artwork may be used.

Can I license an existing Fosca Dalmatica design?

Yes. Selected patterns and illustrations in the portfolio are available for licensing. Availability and terms depend on the product category, territory, duration and required exclusivity.

Can the colours or scale be adapted?

In many cases, yes. Selected artwork may be adapted in colour, scale or composition to better suit the product and visual identity of the licensing partner. Any adaptations are agreed before the licence is confirmed.

Do you create exclusive custom artwork?

Yes. Custom patterns and illustrations can be developed for selected brand collaborations. Exclusive licensing or separately agreed-upon ownership terms may be available depending on the project.

How much does a licence or custom design cost?

Fees are determined individually according to the intended use, territory, duration, production scope, exclusivity, number of designs and required creative work. A clear proposal is provided before the project begins.

What information should I include in my enquiry?

Please include your company or brand name, website, product category, intended market, estimated production scope, required timeline and whether you are interested in existing artwork or a custom design.

Are the files ready for production?

Final files are prepared for the application agreed in the project scope. Production specifications and required file formats should be confirmed before artwork preparation begins.
